Alright guys, this is the last mini-challenge! And there's just one more day of the review-a-thon after today. I hope you've been getting as much done as we have!
Organizing Your Bookshelves
Now that you've starting organizing your upcoming book reviews, it's time to look at your bookshelves, or e-bookshelves.
A few things I plan to do is:
Get my Kindle in order, create some different categories to put books in.
Shift my to-read shelves to create space for the books I've gotten this week and try to weed out books I don't think I'll ever get to.
Your plans may be way different then mine. Maybe it's time for a new bookshelf or time to shove some books in a box and put them in the attic. I'd love to see some bookshelf pictures when you guys complete this challenge. And if you have nothing you think you have to do, snap of pic of your miraculously awesome bookshelves and post it to complete the challenge.
To be entered into the giveaways, make a post or leave a comment letting us know what you've done to organize your bookshelves. You can work on this mini-challenge today, tomorrow or any day during this review-a-thon and then link up back here so you can have a chance to win a book from the Prize List.

Oh my god, what a daunting task, lol. Great challenge though! I'll definitely try to block out some time for this during the weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great task. And one I was thinking about tackling next week! I want to weed out some books to get rid of both from the already read and the TBR. But I also need to just give the bookcases a good dusting. Unfortunately, my boys have blocked off most of my way to my already read bookcases with scout garbage and it won't be taken care of until Monday. :( So I'm going to work on this... NEXT week But I want to overhaul all five of my bookcases and the books on the floor in my room. And I want to do it all at one time.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile I'm going to check back for great ideas from those participating in the challenge!
alchemyofscrawl.wordpress.com I keep it pretty simple. I email that month's authors and remind them I'm reading their book that month. Some wait to send me a copy until then. Then I download them all. Use Calibre to convert the pdf to Kindle and upload to my Kindle into the To Be Reviewed pile. :)
ReplyDeleteWell my eReader is more like a desolate moth ridden empty cupboard. Well, there are a couple of books in that lonely cupboard. So there isn't any organization needed there just some more books. My bookshelf problem is more of a room thing. I only have so much room and I am currently stacking in front of other books. I have been thinking about which books I would like to get rid of. On top of that how should I offload these unnecessary books. Should I do giveaways or donate them to the library. So far I have only managed to get rid of two of the unnecessary books. I have tentative plans to get rid of another one. But that leaves me with two other books that have to go. Plus, there is one book on that shelf that hasn't been read, other than the first few chapters. I need to get that down and force my way through so I can get rid of it.
ReplyDeleteFinally! Some inspiration to sort out my bookshelves - and trust me, it was well needed.
