As you probably are aware, Kristen and I are coming off a huge reading phase. What does that mean? We have oodles and oodles of books that need to be reviewed. This, of course, is not even including our regular backlog (prior to July, we probably each had 10+ books in the review pile). So... we decided a Review-a-Thon is in order.Date: August 7-13
Goal: To review as many books as you can.
To join us, declare yourself!
Don't have a blog? No sweat. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. To join, simply leave your name in the Linky and a link to one of your social network sites.

Please be sure to also leave a comment with your goals. We love seeing everyone's personal goals.
We have plenty of mini-challenges and prizes also planned! We hope you can join us for a week full of fun and reviewing.
My goal? It really depends on how many books I read and which need to be reviewed by the time August 7 comes around. :)
ReplyDeleteOh also, thanks for the review-a-thon! It's a neat idea! :-D
ReplyDeleteMy goal? As many as I can! LOL
ReplyDeleteRight now I have 8 books to review. I'm hoping between now and when I start the Review-a-Thon that I can add 4 more books to that pile.
ReplyDeleteThis Review-a-Thon is a great idea!
great idea! Thanks for the kick ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to catch up on my double-digit backlog! It scares me.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic idea! I know I've been on a reading fiend lately and I haven't sat down to write reviews because I've just picked up another book and read instead! This will be the perfect motivation to write those reviews. My personal goal will be to get caught up on all the books I've read since the start of the summer and haven't written reviews for yet!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great idea. I'm still thinking about it because 3 days of the period I won't be able to review books, I have some doctor appts and other things. Once i have a better idea of my schedule and how many reviews I need to do I'll sign up or not. I might just sign up and do what I can.
ReplyDeleteIt's really a brilliant and fun idea!
Great idea. I am in! I will sign up when I get home, since the work computer blocks all things Linky!

Um, I'm thinking my goals will be reviewing between 8-12 books next week. We'll see how it goes. Awesome idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea! My goal is ten reviews, hopefully I reach it!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I have TONS of books to review!! Thias will be a great start to putting a dent in my to-review pile:)
ReplyDeleteThis challenge starts right after the Sizzling Summer Readathon ends- it's like fate!
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to knock a few books off of my e-book review list--there are 12 of them! If I could knock out four, in addition to the three print books I've got (two I've already read but haven't written the reviews yet), then I would feel super successful!
ReplyDeleteI'll join in. I've read ten books since my last reading round up. So I could do a few reviews. Are we supposed to review in individual entries?
ReplyDeleteI've been sick and have so much stuff planned this month that I really needed this to get myself into gear. I have about 12... Thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteI tried to join the Linky and registered, but still not able. I'm alchemyofscrawl.wordpress.com and this is the post link - http://alchemyofscrawl.wordpress.com/2011/08/06/the-book-monsters-review-a-thon/
ReplyDeleteThanks!
@Alchemy of Scrawl
ReplyDeleteSorry for the issue. I will get your link added.
I'm just hoping for like...two a day...I have a backlog of books that I need to get read. I have to leave them behind when I move, so I better get them read now!
ReplyDeleteJust signed up and promise to post about this once I'm back from vacation. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI read 15 regency romances this summer and haven't reviewed any of them. It would be nice if could write up reviews for a chunk of those. I also did a lot of re-reads of favorite titles that I never wrote reviews for in the first place. I'll just be posting mine on Goodreads for now.
ReplyDeleteJust found this while hopping along, and I thought I'd join in!
ReplyDeleteI am so in. I'll post my official postgraduate when I get up from my nap later.
ReplyDeleteMy me phone hates me...official post not postgraduate.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to do as many as possible. I didnt read much up til now because of a surgery so going to try my best to read and review as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I have several books in my already-read-need-to-be-reviewed pile. This will be the kick in the pants I need. I'll be posting five reviews.
ReplyDeleteI know I am late, but love the idea of a review-a-thon. So count me in.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to just read! The kids go back to school soon, and I haven't been able to read much this summer. I'd love to be able to review at least 2 books this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I've got 7 books to review.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is at least 10 books. Already read 2, so I'm happy :) Just need to read more now :)
ReplyDeleteI have a question. The prizes, what are the rules for shipping? (Like the hardcover book is only for the US due to shipping or something?)
ReplyDelete1 a day!
ReplyDeleteI am 4 reviews behind, so I plan to get those all done :) (3 more to go) Furthermore, I hope to join some of the mini challenges and also to write some of the snack reviews for my other blog because I am really behind on those too.
ReplyDeleteI would like to finish up my 2 book reviews. Originally I wanted to finish 5, but I actually managed to read 3 of my pending books for review over the last week. With work starting back up, I'm not sure if I'll get these 2 remaining books read.
ReplyDeleteLouisa,
ReplyDeleteI will ship to US/Canada if you win one of the Prize List items, if you are international I will see if I can find a selection of books from Book Depository you can choose from. :)
Cool
