10 The Book Monsters Secret Santa

One of the events that I loved hosting at The Neverending Shelf was Secret Santa. After much discussion, Kristen and I have decided to keep the tradition alive.

Details:

  • To participate, please fill out the sign up form.

Please only fill out a form if you are serious about this. (We would really hate to pair someone up, and then one of the partners does not participate.)

  • This open internationally. I am hoping to pair those in like countries. For example: Canadians with other Canadians, UK with UK, etc. If it does not work out equally, then I will try to find some sort of compromise.


  • Books given can be new or used. If used, please make sure they are in good condition. Of course, other goodies are welcome as well.


  • Sign-ups end on Sunday, November 6th. Your partner's information will be emailed to you by Monday, November 14th.


  • Please have your package sent out no later than December 5th.


  • Delivery confirmation is required, where applicable. Once you’ve sent out your package, please send an email to thebookmonsters@gmail.com with tracking information.


  • If you have any questions, feel free to email us at thebookmonsters@gmail.com.


  • And most importantly: HAVE FUN!

  5. This looks like fun! The last secret santa I did, I got a Christmas eraser...that was used...and I'm Jewish. :S This one sounds sooo much better!

  6. So glad you're doing this again! I do have a question though... my brother missed out on doing this last year and he was so disappointed. Could I sign him up this year to surprise him? I'll send out the stuff to his partner, and then his partner can send his present to him directly? I'd just sign him up as myself, but I want to do it for myself too. :)

  7. Lori - that happened to me too, in middle school! i'm also jewish, but happily participated and bought a thoughtful (though inexpensive after all it was 7th grade) gift and got a dirty eraser in return.
    before i decide whether or not to commit to this, is there a min.(or max) price point for a gift? and maybe those who participated last year could share what kind of things one sent/received as part of this?
