Though she tries returning to the life she knew before the accident, Pierce can't help but feel at once a part of this world, and apart from it. Yet she's never alone... because someone is always watching her. Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back.

But now she's moved to a new town. Maybe at her new school, she can start fresh. Maybe she can stop feeling so afraid.

Only she can't. Because even here, he finds her. That's how desperately he wants her back. She knows he's no guardian angel, and his dark world isn't exactly heaven, yet she can't stay away... especially since he always appears when she least expects it, but exactly when she needs him most.

But if she lets herself fall any further, she may just find herself back in the one place she most fears: the Underworld.

Short & Sweet: I honestly think the only reason I made it through this book was because the audio was so good. Poor Pierce has this hot guy following her around trying to kill people who mean to harm her. She died and this guy was trying to make her his queen of the Underworld, but she escaped and made it back to her body and lived to tell the tale. So, this guy is following her around, all sulky and she hates him and wants him to stay away, yet she's obsessed with him. Oh and because of him, people are trying to kill her to hurt him… and then it got more weird. Also, once he says he loves her she's all like "OH REALLY? I NEVER KNEW…" and gets all starry eyed. What the heck Pierce, don't you hate this guy? No? This novel was a wreck. Some plots started up and then fizzled out just as quick. I was hoping to see more of the conflicts at school or with her family, but it just became about the guy interest and him rescuing her constantly. Quite annoying.

Final Verdict: Not for those who want a solid plot that doesn't revolve around a sulking Underworld Lord and a lame girl who might or might not love him.
