So, this past Tuesday, the Fierce Reads tour came to Gurnee, Illinois and so I booked it up there to meet these fabulous authors. I had only ever met Leigh before at a previous Fierce Reads signing and was excited to see her again (LOVE Shadow & Bone).
I actually had the opportunity to talk with these ladies for a bit before the event started and we discussed a little bit about the blog tours they have had for their books. Caragh mentioned how much she loved getting original questions that really made her think and respond well. Gurnee was their first tour stop, so all of them were excited and ready to talk about their books and their lives as authors.
We were at the Warren Newport Public Library, so we had a great set of librarians that were showing us around and here is one pictured introducing the authors.
The authors had some great answers to the questions asked. I was tweeting live from my Twitter account during the event, so you can check out my different tweets. I loved hearing about their different experiences with first seeing their covers and also with how they came up with their titles.
The ladies were so nice and charming, it made for a great event. I can't wait to see some of them again for their next novels!

Lucky, I have long wanted to meet Leigh Bardugo. That and read all her books in one lovely chunk of time. But since that is impossible and would settle for meeting her. Maybe I will get so lucky in future.

Author visits are great. It’s always fun to hear about where they came from and how their stories developed.
This must have been an awesome event!! All these authors are brilliant, with incredible characters and plots. It’s also wonderful when they love answering questions that require them to really think before giving an answer:)
