Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week our topic is: Top Ten Favorite Characters in High Fantasy.
Personally, I cannot get enough of YA High Fantasy. I love it. I love it. I love it! Here is a list of my top ten favorites in no particular order.

Katsa: Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1) byKristin Cashore
Out of all the Graceling Realm series main characters, Katsa is most definitely my favorite.

Sage: The False Prince (The Ascendance Trilogy, #1) byJennifer A. Nielsen
I cannot have a top ten favorite character without mentioning Sage. I love this boy so much. His sass and humor made this book.

Opal: Storm Glass (Glass, #1) byMaria V. Snyder
Kristen and I greatly differ on our opinions of this series. And despite Opal's questionable choices throughout this series, I love her.

Kel: First Test (Protector of the Small, #1) byTamora Pierce
Keladry (aka Kel) was really my first introduction into YA high fantasy as a kid. I really admired Kel and her story. So much so, that the Protector of the Small series is still probably my favorite from Tamora Pierce.

Elisa: The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) byRae Carson
Elisa sure didn't win me over when I first met her, but, boy, as the story progressed, I was on Team Elisa all the way.

Ananna: The Assassin's Curse (The Assassin's Curse, #1) byCassandra Rose Clarke
Not only is Ananna badass… she escapes from her arranged marriage on the back of a camel. Love it.

Liyana: Vessel bySarah Beth Durst
I adored this book so much, and part of the reason was Liyana.

Sydelle: Brightly Woven byAlexandra Bracken
Sydelle is a spunky, headstrong girl who is fiercely loyal. I loved everything about her and Brightly Woven.

Velek: Poison Study (Study, #1) byMaria V. Snyder
Ok, I love Yelena. Don't get me wrong. But Valek wins over this pick for me. Only one word is needed… yum. Seriously, where can I find a guy that like?

The Darkling: Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) byLeigh Bardugo
The Darkling is such a hard man to put my finger on. Sure, he is a bad guy, but I cannot help but love him.

I agree 100% with number 5 and 10!!!
I adore Elisa! I liked her from the beginning and she became better and better. I can’t wait to continue this series.

All of these books are on my TBR pile, hopefully I’ll get to the soon
My TTT
Love your list, although it does remind me that I need to ‘catch up’ on YA high fantasy. I agree with you 100% on #1! Thanks for sharing!
Completely agree with Sage and Sydelle! And Kel – Though I’ve only read the first book in her series. Sad to say I have to read any of the others.
I love #1!! Katsa is awesome and I love her. Especially when her and Po are together.
My TTT
I so haven’t read any high fantasy but from the looks of it, I think I’d enjoy it. Great list.
Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday post!
Sana @ artsy musings of a bibliophile
Kel was the first one on my list! I also love Sage, though he didn’t make my list, mostly because I’ve only read the book once so far, and most of my TTT are from books I’ve read multiple times. I do have a lot of your other picks — or rather, their books — on my TBR list.
Forgot to mention — I’m a new follower. Please stop by my blog for a visit sometime!
I was tossing up about Yelena too
